When are winners selected?

Winners are selected automatically as soon as the raffle's countdown timer ends.

The end date and time for every raffle are set by the person who created it and are clearly displayed on the raffle's main page.

How is the winner selected fairly?

To guarantee that every raffle is fair and tamper-proof, PolyRaffles uses Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF).

Here’s what that means:

1. Selection: As soon as the raffle ends, our platform requests a provably random number from Chainlink VRF.
2. Verifiable: This process is completely transparent and happens on-chain. It cannot be manipulated, predicted, or influenced by anyone (including the PolyRaffles team or the raffle creator).
3. Winner: This random number is then used to select the winning ticket from the pool of entries.

Once this on-chain random number is received and the winner is confirmed your prize will automatically be deposited to your payout address.
