Raffle Rules & Guarantees
Here are the core rules and guarantees that govern every raffle on the platform.
The Prize Guarantee
All raffle prizes are locked in a secure smart contract escrow as soon as the raffle is created. This guarantees that the prize shown is real, owned by the creator, and will be delivered to the winner.
Minimum Ticket Sales (If Not Met)
Creators can set a "minimum ticket" goal for their raffle.
If this minimum number of tickets is not sold by the time the raffle ends, the raffle is canceled.
- The prize asset is automatically returned to the creator.
- All ticket buyers are able to claim a full refund for their tickets.
- Gas for any of these transactions may paid by the party initiating the transaction (e.g., entrants claiming their refund). PolyRaffles cannot guarntee the cost of gas fees for any transation at any time.
Maximum Tickets (Sell Outs)
Creators can set a "maximum ticket" cap. If a raffle sells out (reaches its ticket cap) before the end time, no new tickets can be sold.
The raffle will remain open until the scheduled end time, at which point the winner will be drawn from all the tickets sold.
